Account Coordinator at Pollock Communications

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Account Coordinator is responsible for assisting in coordinating and executing public relations campaigns and daily media monitoring. Work includes ownership of client media reports, monitoring trends, coordinating client mailers and media relations support. The Account Coordinator serves as the primary resource for all team members with opportunities to work across different clients and projects – with tremendous growth potential.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily media monitoring, media audits and crisis monitoring and reporting

  • Assist client teams across accounts

  • Aid team members in developing program budgets, assist in cost research

  • Respond to client/team needs and requests in a timely fashion

  • Manage execution of media mailers

  • Staff exhibit booths on behalf of clients at meetings and conferences

  • Draft social media content and media pitches

  • Liaise with influencers on behalf of clients to develop relationships and coordinate programs

  • Stay current on latest trends in the media and food industries that can help inform and assist our clients

  • Participate in brainstorms and team meetings

  • Support senior staffers

  • Conduct research to support current campaigns and new business activities

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:    

  • Entry-level position with at least 6 months communications experience via internships

·         Strong writing skills and media pitching experience required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-starter who takes initiative with a high level of energy and enthusiasm

  • Interest in food, health and wellness industry

  • Strong organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong MS Word, Excel & Power Point skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

·         Knowledgeable in social media 

  • An understanding of measurement and reporting, experience with reporting tools and analytics

  • Skilled at administrative duties
