Digital Strategist

 

Digital Strategist
The Digital Strategist is responsible for providing overall strategic support for the PR Council’s (PRC) delivery of online communication. This may include membership engagement, brand awareness building, tracking and optimizing social content and paid campaigns, community management, trend monitoring and development of social media reports. The role will involve identifying real-time opportunities as well as creating and executing campaigns. Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute digital/social strategies from concept to completion
  • Ensure PRC website is consistently up to date and utilizing SEO 
  • Act as a day-to-day lead for all things website and digital
  • Provide strong counsel to internal team
  • Manage third party relationships for the digital area including vendors and partners
  • Manage social media presence at events, including real-time monitoring and live content creation support
  • Drive influencer relationships and strategy
  • Design images to coincide with PRC programming and social copy

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Strategy expertise creating and executing paid social and digital campaigns across channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIn
  • Experience working with measurement and analytics platforms such as Google Anayltics, HootSuite, MailChimp, WordPress, among others
  • Previous paid social media experience
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and wireframing preferred
  • Video/production experience
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to develop creative assets as needed including: 

 

o    Video and photography

 

o    Visual elements and stories, including gifs, infographics, & vector art

 

o    Variations of content appropriate to each channel (website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,Snapchat, LinkedIn).

 

o    Multimedia elements for events, including ‘Facebook Live’ & social media coverage

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • 3+ year’s experience at a digital, advertising, media or PR agency, and a deep understanding of social media and digital marketing

 

Candidate strengths must include:

 

  • Ability to contribute to a team-environment as a team-player 
  • Managing multiple projects at once and under tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of video and image design
  • Understanding of SEM & SEO
  • Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, InDesign, Word Press

 

Salary: commensurate with experience
